Over the past year or so I’ve wanted to refine and specialise my photography.
While normally my “style” isn’t really much more than just trying to create new images of familiar things in nature or an urban setting from a different angle or perspective, I’ve found that macro photography is one way to see something far more closely that would normally be overlooked, or only looked at in passing.
I just discovered that I had dabbled in macro (without knowing it was called macro) back in the “first wave” of my photography over a decade ago with the first few images, back when I had a thing for doing everything in black and white. Recently I’ve been attempting to revive that interest in specialising in order to develop a signature style. Still ongoing but hopefully getting there.
